The Kingdom of Norway is a constitutional democracy with a parliamentary democracy. The government works to respect the human rights of its citizens. When individual human rights violations do occur, the law provides the means for investigating and if necessary prosecuting the violator. Overall, Norway has one of the world's best human rights records.
