El Ouaer is not only one of Tunisia’s most famous soccer players, he also has some of the most impressive statistics in all of Africa. In 2002, he made history by becoming the first Tunisian and only the fourth African to play in 100 international games. As the goalkeeper and captain of his team, El Ouaer has led his team to many successes. However, some people remember him for the stunt he pulled in 2000 when he faked an injury in an attempt to stop a game. Still, he is largely known for his stellar career as a whole.
