Clive Hubert Lloyd |

Period: 1944–
Born in Georgetown, Lloyd began playing international test cricket for the West Indies in 1966. He captained the team between 1974 and 1985, leading them to World Cup wins in 1975 and 1979. In 110 career test matches, he scored 7,515 runs. He also played for teams in the Guyanese and English leagues. In 1971, Lloyd was chosen as a Wisden Cricketer of the Year, an award that goes to the sport's best players.
