Ibrahim al-Salahi is well-known for his works in several different media, including printmaking, calligraphy, and photography. However, he is also known for his academic study of Sudanese art. He has traveled the country trying to discover and document the different architectures and decorations that make up Sudanese style. He is especially fascinated with Arab art in the area. He combine Arabic calligraphy with traditional African styles in some of his works.
