From a young age, Kim Jong-Il was groomed to take over the country’s leadership from his father, Kim Il-Sung. Together, the two men led North Korea for about six decades. Today, Kim Jong-Il is an absolute leader and is considered by many of his people to have godlike qualities. He is also at the center of an international scandal about nuclear weapons.
