Pancho Villa is actually a nickname for Doroteo Arango, who became an outlaw at 16 when he killed a man who attacked his sister. He became a fighter and leader of armies during the Mexican Revolution. After the war, Villa remained an outlaw, eluding both Mexican and U.S. troops for years before finally being assassinated in 1923.
