Alphadi, as he is known around the world, was fascinated with fashion from a young age. However, his father wanted him to have a more traditional job. He compromised by studying tourism in Paris while also working on his fashion career. He later devoted himself completely to fashion. He is now famous for designs that draw on African themes.
