Arveladze is a striker who began his professional career with the Dinamo team in Tbilisi in 1992. Signed to play for Trabzonspor in the Turkish league, Arveladze led the league in scoring during the 1995–96 season. He has since played for the Dutch team Ajax and the Rangers in Scotland. He is also the leading scorer on the Georgian national team.
