Zanabazar’s birth is said to have been accompanied by a set of miracles that marked him as being holy. He was deemed to be a possible saint at age three and was enthroned at five. He went on to study with the Dalai Lama in Tibet and become Mongolia’s earliest Buddhist leader. He is also known for being a politician, diplomat, and sculptor.
