Note: In East Timor, this dish is usually cooked over an open fire.

Ingredients

• 250 grams dried red kidney beans
• 1 kilogram beef bones
• 3 medium-sized potatoes, diced
• 100 grams macaroni
• Salt, to taste

Method

• Place the beans and bones in a pot of water. Cook until the beans are done and the meat starts to fall off the bones.
• Add macaroni, potatoes, and salt.
• Cook until potatoes are tender. Serve.
