INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 Cup rice or rava or poha or broken wheat
  2. 1 Cup Moong dhal (Green Gram dhal)
  3. 8 Cups of water
  4. Salt for taste
  5. 1 lemon juice

SEASONING

  1. 4 Tbsp of ghee
  2. 1 tsp of cumin seeds
  3. 1 tsp of pepper corns
  4. 2 tbsp of grated dry coconut
  5. 4 to 5 green chilies
  6. 2 inch of ginger grated
  7. 10 to 20 Cashew nuts (Broken)

Method:

  1. Roast the Moong dhal until light brown color. Keep the water for boiling when it starts boiling add moong dhal cook for 3 to 4 minutes then add rice to it and cook until it’s cooked.
  2. Heat the pan and make seasoning with above ingredients, pour it over the cooked dhal and rice and lemon juice mix well.
  3. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
