INGREDIENTS FOR POWDER

  1. 1 Cup Black gram dhal
  2. 1 Cup Bengal gram dhal
  3. 2 Cup Coriander seeds
  4. 2 ½ Hand full of red chilies
  5. 1 ½ Cup of dry coconut powder
  6. 4 to 6 cinnamon stick
  7. 6 to 8 Cloves
  8. 5 to 7 Marata Maggu

METHOD

  1. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan, Fry the above ingredients separately until it turn into a light golden color and make powder coarsely with salt.

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 Cup Rice Cooked
  2. 4 Green long eggplants (brinjal) OR (Capsicum and green peas) OR (Fenugreek leaves and potatoes and Peas)
  3. 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  4. Salt for taste

SEASONING

  1. 2 Tbsp of oil
  2. ½ tsp of Bengal gram dhal
  3. ½ tsp of Black gram dhal
  4. 2 Red chilies
  5. 1 Stalk Curry leaves
  6. 2 Pinch of Asafetida
  7. ½ tsp of mustard seeds
  8. ¼ tsp of turmeric powder

Method:

  1. Cook rice and keep aside. Cut brinjal into 1 inch piece.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and prepare seasoning and add brinjal and fry until it gets cooked.
  3. Then add 1 ½ tbsp of vangibath powder to it along with the cooked rice and lemon juice mix well with salt and garnish with chopped cilantro laves.
  4. Serve hot with Cucumber raita.
