Yougurt or Curd Rice

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 Cup rice
  2. 2 Cups of sour cream or full fat yogurt
  3. 2 Cups of butter milk
  4. Salt for taste
  5. 1 Tbsp of grated ginger  

SEASONING

  1. 2 Tsp of oil
  2. 1 Pinch of asafetida
  3. 2 Green chilies chopped
  4. 1 stalk of curry leaves
  5. ½ Tsp of Black gram dhal
  6. ½ Tsp of Bengal gram dhal
  7. ½ Tsp of mustard seeds

FOR GARNISHING

  1. 10 to 20 green seedless grapes
  2. ¼ Cup of fresh pomegranates
  3. 1 Tbsp of chopped cilantro leaves

Method:

  1. For 2 Cup of rice add 6 cup water and cook it soft and keep it aside till it gets cooled.
  2. Prepare seasoning with seasoning ingredients then add it to rice.
  3. Add salt and grated ginger, sour cream and buttermilk to it and mix it well with out lumps.
  4. Last garnish with chopped grapes and pomegranates, cilantro.
