  1. 1K.g of Bitter gourd
  2. 35 to 40 Red chilies
  3. 41/2 tbsp of Bengal gram dhal
  4. 21/4 tbsp of black gram dhal
  5. 3 cups of dry coconut powder
  6. Small lemon size tamarind
  7. 2 tbsp of brown sugar (jaggery)
  8. Salt for taste.


  1. Except bitter gourd dry roast above ingredients and make powder of it.
  2. Great bitter gourd with out seeds and add salt and turmeric powder and leave it for 2 hours.
  3. Then squeeze out all the water from bitter gourd and dry roast it with 3 tsp of oil until it turns into a light brown color and crispy then add above powder and jaggery to it and season with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
