  1. 1Cup black gram dhal
  2. 2 to 3 red chilies
  3. 1 tsp asafetida
  4. 1 tbsp oil
  5. Salt for taste


  1. Take a frying pan and put in 1 tbsp of oil add black gram dhal until it turns light brown color take it out and fry red chilies and
  2. Let it cool down the add salt and grind into a coarse powder.
  3. This can be stored for long time in an airtight container, serve mixing with ghee or oil to form a mixture of thick consistency
